Mechanical Engineer (Data Center)

Location: On-site in Austin, TX; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; or Seattle, WA

Salary: $169,000 – $208,000 per year

What you will do

• Own mechanical engineering for assigned data center sites, including cooling and piping scope.
• Review mechanical packages against reference designs and identify impact-driven deviations.
• Provide rapid field support by answering mechanical RFIs and turning recurring issues into design fixes.
• Support startup and commissioning activities, including flushing, filling, and balancing.
• Collaborate across hardware and software teams to maintain high-velocity construction schedules.

Requirements

• Proven experience in mechanical engineering for data centers or industrial plants.
• Fluency in reading P&IDs, hydraulic calculations, and equipment schedules.
• Direct experience supporting construction and commissioning in the field.
• Ability to provide fast, accurate RFI responses.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with liquid cooling systems.
• PE track or certification.
• Pipe stress analysis expertise.
• Modular skid design experience.
