Associate Mechanical Engineer (Data Centers)

Location: DFW01_02, United States; travel of up to 25% may be required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience with data center or mission-critical electrical and mechanical design, construction, and operations.
• EIT certification or a plan to take the FE exam.
• Experience with AutoCAD or Revit, construction drawings, equipment specifications, and construction project scopes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience troubleshooting technical problems during startup and commissioning.
• Experience performing and analyzing building CFD models.
• Eligibility for a Professional Engineer license.

What you will do

• Maintain mechanical technical standards and update related documentation using Autodesk Revit.
• Review engineering drawings, equipment data, design preferences, and project lessons learned across design phases.
• Support conceptual design, HVAC equipment performance reviews, commissioning activities, critical MOPs, and site observation reports.
• Provide troubleshooting support for system design intent, performance shortfalls, failures, and issue resolution.
• Evaluate new technologies, sustainable practices, building-code requirements, HVAC best practices, chilled-water plants, liquid-to-chip and air-cooled data halls, and CFD analysis.
• Communicate complex mechanical topics clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
