Mechanical Project Manager (Data Center)

Location: On-site in Austin, TX; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; or Seattle, WA

Salary: $155,000 – $183,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage end-to-end CDU deployment across sites, including scheduling, rigging, placement, and startup handover.
• Coordinate mechanical contractors, manufacturing, and commissioning to ensure units land in sequence with data hall readiness.
• Own the deployment schedule per site, tracking hundreds of units and reporting slips with recovery plans.
• Standardize installation packages, lift plans, torque specs, and flush-and-fill procedures for repeatable builds.
• Strip away administrative drag and traditional process to solve real-world construction bottlenecks.

Requirements

• Proven experience project-managing the installation of major mechanical equipment like chillers, CRAHs, skids, or CDUs at scale.
• Experience coordinating rigging and logistics within a live construction site environment.
• Ability to track hundreds of line items accurately and enforce installation procedures with contractors.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be able to work on-site in Austin, New York, San Francisco, or Seattle.

Nice to have

• Experience with liquid cooling systems.
• Background in data center mechanical construction.
• Experience in manufacturing coordination and commissioning support.
