Systems Specialist, AI Data

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, United States; onsite at the corporate headquarters 4–5 days per week. Regular in-person meetings, events, and occasional travel are required. This role is not eligible for remote work in New York City.

Salary: $120,000–$145,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus. California base salary range: $132,000–$159,500.

What you will do

• Create functional, technical, integration, data, and solution specifications for Data, Analytics, AI, and platform initiatives.
• Analyze requirements, document end-to-end workflows and business rules, and identify upstream and downstream system impacts.
• Analyze source systems and data structures; create source-to-target mappings, transformation specifications, data lineage, quality validations, reconciliation rules, and exception handling requirements.
• Define interfaces, API specifications, payload mappings, integration workflows, and event-driven interactions across enterprise applications, manufacturing systems, ERP, CRM, vehicle, and data platforms.
• Partner with AI Engineers, Data Scientists, Product teams, and project stakeholders to document AI solution flows, model inputs and outputs, acceptance criteria, and operational workflows.
• Support integration testing, AI solution validation, UAT, production readiness reviews, deployment validation, backlog refinement, sprint activities, and release coordination.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 4+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst, Data Analyst, or Technical Analyst.
• Strong understanding of enterprise data ecosystems, system integrations, documentation, and analytical methods.
• Experience working with Data Engineering and AI teams.
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills, with experience in ETL/ELT, data lakes, MDM, APIs, integration patterns, data quality, and governance.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Lucidchart, or similar tools, and the ability to translate requirements into implementation-ready technical specifications.
