Project Controls Engineer III (Risk Management)

Location: Rockville, MD / Gaithersburg, MD; 5 days in office. Standard hours are 8:00am–5:00pm ET, Monday–Friday. Travel up to 5% as needed.

Salary: $109,000–$135,000 per year

What you will do

• Provide project controls and risk management support to program and project teams.
• Lead schedule risk analysis, cost risk analysis, probabilistic modeling, and Monte Carlo simulations.
• Develop and maintain risk registers covering cost, schedule, technical, and programmatic risks.
• Integrate risk mitigation, contingency planning, and risk-adjusted forecasts into project controls.
• Prepare technical reports, executive summaries, dashboards, KPIs, and performance analyses.
• Support schedules, budgets, cost baselines, estimates at completion, quantity surveys, and cost variance tracking.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• At least five years of experience in engineering, project management, or a related industry.
• Experience with planning and scheduling, cost management, estimating, or change management and trends.
• Experience using project management software, on-screen takeoff tools, and estimating applications.
• Experience writing basis-of-estimate documents and deriving quantities from engineering documents.
• Knowledge of multiple construction and project disciplines, with basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
