TL;DR
Head of Employee Relations & HR Compliance (Employee Relations/HR Compliance): Leading employee relations investigations, employment-law compliance, HR policies, and FedRAMP personnel controls across a complex technology organization with an accent on risk mitigation, audit readiness, and manager guidance. Focus on designing compliant HR processes, resolving complex workplace issues, and building training and compliance programs across US and international requirements.

Location: Pleasanton, United States. Candidates who live within a reasonable commute to a hirify.global office will work in the office at least 3 days a week.

Salary: $239,000–$299,000 per year, plus eligible short-term and long-term incentive programs and benefits.

What you will do

  • Lead investigations into employee complaints, conflicts, and policy violations, partnering with legal counsel when needed.
  • Advise HR business partners, managers, and employees on employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and compliance programs aligned with international and US employment laws.
  • Lead HR-related FedRAMP audit controls and maintain personnel processes for onboarding, offboarding, background checks, and audits.
  • Identify HR-related risks, implement mitigation strategies, and conduct compliance audits with corrective actions.
  • Develop and deliver training on HR policies, employment law, compliance, and management practices.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience focused on employee relations and compliance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Deep understanding of international and US federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Experience working in a FedRAMP-compliant environment, including HR compliance, background check, and auditing requirements.
  • Proven experience conducting thorough and objective investigations.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership skills.

Nice to have

  • Master's or JD degree.
  • Experience working with external consultants and cross-functional compliance teams.
