Head of People (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite at the Broomfield, Colorado headquarters. Applicants must be U.S. Persons and must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, protected individuals, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. authorizations. Relocation support is available.

Salary: $140,415–$187,388 per year.

hirify.global is an aerospace company building satellite buses, integrated satellites, and turnkey missions for very low Earth orbit between 250 km and 400 km.

What you will do

• Own the employee experience, including onboarding, offboarding, benefits, payroll coordination, HRIS administration, and employee support.
• Build scalable people systems, processes, and infrastructure as the company grows.
• Advise employees, managers, founders, and leadership on people matters, employee relations, and complex workplace situations.
• Lead performance management, compensation philosophy, salary banding, benchmarking, and total rewards programs.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, and leadership on payroll, benefits, headcount planning, reporting, and organizational design.
• Track people metrics, manage culture initiatives and company events, and support recruiting for critical roles.

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive HR or People experience with ownership of a broad people function.
• Experience building and scaling people infrastructure at a 50–200-person startup.
• Strong knowledge of HR compliance, employment law, leave administration, worker classification, multi-state compliance, and employee relations.
• Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms, preferably Rippling, payroll administration, and benefits management.
• Experience running performance management cycles, compensation benchmarking, and engagement initiatives.
• Strong communication and experience partnering directly with founders and senior leadership.

Nice to have

• Prior Head of People or equivalent experience at a company of similar scale.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, hard tech, or another technical environment.
• Comfort leveraging modern AI-assisted tools.
