TL;DR
Employee Relations Lead (HR Compliance): Leading employee relations practices, workplace investigations, and HR policy administration across Bilfinger's U.S. entities with an accent on employment compliance, consistent case management, and manager guidance. Focus on conducting sensitive investigations, interpreting U.S. employment laws, standardizing HR procedures, and partnering with Legal, Compliance, HSE, and operational leaders.

Location: Onsite at the Woodlands, Texas corporate office, United States; periodic travel to branch offices, project sites, customer locations, and other business locations is required.

What you will do

  • Lead employee relations matters across hirify.global's U.S. entities, including intake, fact-finding, interviews, investigations, documentation, recommendations, and case closure.
  • Standardize investigation protocols, documentation templates, escalation criteria, and case management practices.
  • Advise HR Business Partners, managers, supervisors, and operations leaders on performance issues, corrective action, complaints, attendance, conflicts, and policy interpretation.
  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, HSE, Ethics, Finance, Payroll, and operational leadership on sensitive employment matters.
  • Maintain and improve HR policies, handbooks, procedures, posted notices, acknowledgements, and related employment documents.
  • Monitor employee relations trends, support audits and policy training, and recommend preventive actions and improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Labor Relations, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of progressive HR experience with significant responsibility for employee relations, workplace investigations, HR compliance, policy administration, and manager consultation.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. employment laws and HR compliance practices, including EEO, anti-harassment, wage and hour, leave management, disability accommodation, retaliation prevention, and employee documentation.
  • Ability to conduct impartial investigations, assess facts, identify risk, write clear summaries, and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Experience drafting, implementing, and communicating HR policies, handbooks, procedures, manager guidance, and training materials.
  • Strong communication, judgment, discretion, organization, and stakeholder-management skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR systems.

Nice to have

  • Experience in multi-site, field-based, industrial, construction, maintenance, engineering, manufacturing, or services environments.
  • Experience with SuccessFactors or similar HRIS and case-management tools.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, or workplace investigation training.
