Senior Software Engineer I, Broker Platform Engineering (C#/React)

Location: Hybrid role based in New York, United States, with onsite work 2–3 days per week at the Soho office.

Salary: $168,000–$200,000 annual base salary plus annual bonus for New York residents.

What you will do

• Deliver software on time with accurate estimates and take ownership of production changes.
• Integrate internal and external APIs while maintaining data accuracy and consistency across distributed systems.
• Design and implement solutions with Product, Design, Engineering, and other cross-functional partners.
• Provide actionable code reviews and support the growth of other engineers.
• Maintain healthy system operations, monitoring, and high availability.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of software engineering experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Backend-first full-stack experience with C#, Java, or an equivalent compiled object-oriented language, plus React and TypeScript.
• Experience building customer-facing products in financial services.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, application deployments, code quality, and version control using Git and GitHub.
• Knowledge of real-time data processing, event-driven architectures, Kafka, DAPR, Redis, PostgreSQL or RDS, SQL, and AWS or a similar cloud platform.
• Familiarity with Agile project management tools such as JIRA.

Nice to have

• Experience on a product engineering team.
• Production deployment and scaling of containerized microservices with Kubernetes.
• Experience with large language models and agentic workflows.
• Experience with Event Sourcing and frameworks such as Marten.
