Senior IT Systems Engineer

Location: New York City, United States; hybrid with four days per week in the office. No required office days during the summer and winter holidays.

Salary: $121,000–$140,000 per year, with potential eligibility for a company incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise identity and access management architecture.
• Automate employee onboarding, offboarding, and lifecycle workflows across HRIS, identity, and SaaS systems.
• Administer business-critical platforms including Google Workspace, Okta, Slack, Zoom, Lumos, Jamf, HRIS, finance, and CRM tools.
• Manage macOS endpoint fleets, MDM tooling, operating system upgrades, patching, security controls, and policy enforcement.
• Partner with Security Engineering and Risk on MFA, SSO, RBAC, device trust, audit, and compliance controls.
• Act as a senior escalation point, document IT standards, and build self-service processes that improve employee experience.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in IT systems engineering, SaaS administration, or enterprise technology operations.
• Deep expertise in macOS administration and endpoint management at scale.
• Strong experience with Okta and identity standards including SAML, OIDC, SCIM, and RBAC.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation with Python, Bash, or similar tools.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and with scalable cloud-first IT systems.
• Experience with security controls in regulated environments, including SOC 2, ISO 27001, or SOX.

Nice to have

• Experience with low-code automation platforms such as Boomi, Workato, Okta Workflows, or Zapier.
• Experience supporting Windows endpoints for Finance and other specialized functions.
• Experience helping high-growth organizations scale or improve operational maturity.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in Information Systems, Technology, or a related field.
