IT Engineer (Security)

Location: Remote in NAMER

Salary: $155,000–$180,000 per year plus equity

What you will do

• Own identity and access engineering in Okta, including group strategy, SSO, application assignments, lifecycle automation, and access request workflows.
• Manage endpoint engineering for a macOS-first fleet in Workspace ONE, including provisioning, configuration baselines, patching, encryption, inventory, and compliance reporting.
• Administer Google Workspace and Slack at scale, covering user lifecycle, groups, shared drives, permissions, roles, and governance.
• Establish governance across the SaaS estate, including ownership, access, costs, and changes when employees move teams or leave.
• Build automation for onboarding, deprovisioning, access reporting, device compliance, and other recurring IT workflows.
• Translate security, compliance, and engineering requirements into IT controls and provide technical escalation support for identity, access, endpoints, and internal infrastructure.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in IT engineering, IT operations, systems administration, endpoint engineering, or identity engineering.
• Hands-on ownership of Okta or a comparable identity provider, including SSO, groups, application assignments, lifecycle workflows, and access management.
• Experience with modern MDM, preferably Workspace ONE, including provisioning, configuration enforcement, patching, encryption, and inventory.
• Strong Google Workspace administration skills and substantial macOS endpoint experience.
• Experience building or improving operational workflows, automation, reporting, or internal controls, with scripting in Bash, Python, Google Apps Script, Okta Workflows, or APIs.
• Strong technical writing, ownership, prioritization, judgment, and ability to remain hands-on in an individual contributor role.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI, access reviews, audit evidence, or control implementation.
• Knowledge of EDR, disk encryption, patch compliance, vulnerability management, and access hygiene.
• Experience designing IT processes across time zones for globally distributed teams, including international hardware logistics.
