Maintenance Engineer

Location: Fukuoka, Japan; customer-site work required

What you will do

• Install, commission, and validate the performance of capital equipment at customer sites.
• Lead preventive and corrective maintenance activities and restore equipment and production lines to operation.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electromechanical, automation, hardware, software, and network issues using systematic root cause analysis.
• Install complex automation upgrade kits and provide production and breakdown support at customer sites.
• Deliver operator and maintenance training to customers in person or remotely.
• Manage operational customer relationships, service contracts, technical reporting, safety, quality, and food-safety requirements.

Requirements

• More than 5 years of experience in installation, maintenance, and/or service work.
• Ability to independently perform preventive maintenance, industrial systems troubleshooting, installation tasks, and upgrade installations.
• Experience or readiness to act as a lead engineer for capital equipment installations.
• Previous position: Service Engineer S1.
• Ability to work in accordance with customer and hirify.global safety, quality, and food-safety standards.
