Senior Technical Recruiter (AI)

Location: San Francisco HQ; in person five days a week, with one company-wide remote week per month

Salary: $120,000–$280,000 base salary plus equity; no bonus

What you will do

• Own full-cycle recruiting across AI/ML research, engineering, ML infrastructure, security, product, go-to-market, operations, and other non-technical roles.
• Build and maintain proactive pipelines of high-quality AI and technical talent.
• Develop relationships through San Francisco and Bay Area AI events, meetups, conferences, and networking.
• Design interview loops, align hiring standards, and build recruiting infrastructure that scales with the company.
• Execute individual contributor recruiting work while partnering strategically with founders and leadership.
• Apply rigorous evaluation methods, including work trials, behavioral interviews, and deep reference checks.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of recruiting experience, including 3+ years in an early-stage startup or research-intensive environment.
• Experience recruiting across both technical and non-technical roles.
• Previous experience as the sole or founding recruiter, with the ability to operate independently.
• Strong quality-over-quantity mindset and willingness to maintain a high hiring bar.
• Experience recruiting AI/ML, research engineering, or ML infrastructure roles is strongly preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience recruiting for frontier AI labs, LLM startups, or research-heavy engineering organizations.
• STEM degree or equivalent technical fluency.
• Established network in the San Francisco or Bay Area AI ecosystem.
