FP&A Analyst (Aerospace)

Location: Los Angeles, United States. In-person collaboration is expected at the Playa Vista office. U.S. Person status is required to access export-controlled data.

Salary: $100,000–$130,000 base salary per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Own company-wide headcount planning and modeling, including department-level forecasts and plan-versus-actual tracking.
• Partner with Engineering and R&D leadership on financial analysis, planning, and visibility.
• Contribute to annual budgeting, reforecasts, and long-range planning cycles.
• Perform budget-to-actual and forecast-to-actual variance analysis and communicate actionable insights.
• Support monthly and quarterly reporting for executives and management.
• Improve FP&A processes and systems, and support PO/PR approvals for multi-million-dollar Engineering projects.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or a comparable analytical finance role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis skills.
• Experience with purchase order and purchase requisition approval processes for multi-million-dollar projects.
• Ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
• Strong communication skills and experience partnering with senior leadership and technical Engineering/R&D stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Engineering and R&D cost structures.
• Experience in the space, aerospace, or defense industry.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint skills.
