Engineering Manager, Build (Build Platform)

What you will do

• Lead the Build team roadmap across UBT, TUBE, and the broader build platform.
• Own delivery of hirify.global packages, container images, and cloud marketplace images for Self-Managed and other delivery targets.
• Drive a build-once, deploy-everywhere model across Omnibus, CNG, and future delivery targets.
• Lead centralized dependency management, coordinated dependency updates, and supply chain security through SBOMs, provenance, vetted dependencies, and build isolation.
• Create self-service onboarding through standard CI templates, documentation, and paved paths.
• Improve build quality, validation, observability, dashboards, and metrics while partnering with adjacent teams.

Requirements

• Experience building and owning large-scale distributed services, with sufficient technical depth to guide architecture and technical strategy.
• Experience operating services with four-nines (99.99%) SLOs and maintaining operational excellence.
• Experience using AI tooling to improve team productivity, including lessons learned from successful and unsuccessful approaches.
• Experience building and managing high-performing, accountable team cultures.
• Ability to drive complex projects to completion without a dedicated technical program manager.
• Experience leading distributed and remote teams.
