Software Engineer, Edge

Location: Remote - United States

Salary: $145,000–$190,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Design, build, and optimize data collection agents for Windows, Linux, and Mac environments.
• Develop backend features that support hundreds of thousands of Edge nodes with diverse configurations.
• Collaborate with UX designers, Product Managers, and engineers to translate requirements into high-performance user experiences.
• Own the full development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, maintenance, and support.
• Create automated tests and comprehensive test plans for reliable product features.
• Participate periodically in 24x7 on-call rotations and off-hours support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Professional experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
• Strong understanding of operating-system fundamentals, including memory management, CPU architecture and scheduling, filesystems, process lifecycles, and networking.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with assertion frameworks and automated regression testing tools such as Mocha.
• Experience developing data-intensive applications or processing data streams, plus strong troubleshooting, debugging, communication, and ownership skills.

Nice to have

• Experience using AI tools to accelerate software delivery while maintaining quality.
