Senior Forward Deployed Engineer

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, US, with regular on-site presence at customer locations. An in-person interview at a hirify.global office or hub may be required at the offer stage.

Estimated annual salary for Bay Area-based hires: $194,000–$266,000. The role is also eligible for hirify.global’s equity plan.

What you will do

• Serve as a long-term technical partner embedded within a strategic customer’s engineering organization.
• Design, build, and deploy production-ready code and configurations using the hirify.global platform.
• Own the customer account’s technical success across hirify.global’s product portfolio and guide technical resources.
• Participate in standups, design reviews, and real-time incident response.
• Drive adoption of hirify.global services across the customer’s technology stack.
• Surface product gaps and real-world edge cases to hirify.global Product and Engineering teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering production-grade systems.
• Experience with modern languages such as TypeScript, Rust, or Golang.
• Experience owning mission-critical services, on-call rotations, incident response, and high-availability architectures.
• Broad technical depth across frontend performance, backend systems, databases, and distributed infrastructure.
• Deep experience with at least one major cloud provider: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Ability to design scalable architectures, navigate ambiguity, and communicate technical trade-offs to VP-level stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with hirify.global Workers or the broader hirify.global Developer Platform.
• Startup or customer-facing engineering experience, including work directly in a partner’s codebase.
• Open-source contributions, technical blogging, or conference speaking experience.
