Senior Platform Software Engineer (AI/ML Infrastructure)

Location: NYC, NY; on-site

Salary: $160,000–$250,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Build and evolve an internal developer platform with self-service tooling for services, environments, and infrastructure.
• Improve local development, testing, deployment workflows, build times, feedback loops, and rollback and recovery systems.
• Design and maintain scalable CI/CD systems using GitHub Actions and infrastructure-as-code workflows.
• Design and operate cloud-native systems on AWS, EKS, Docker, and Kubernetes, while defining service architecture and deployment standards.
• Own platform observability with Datadog, metrics, logging, distributed tracing, dashboards, alerts, and operational tooling.
• Work across PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis, and Temporal, partnering with backend and AI engineers to improve platform usability and reliability.

Requirements

• Experience building internal developer platforms and multi-service distributed systems.
• Strong experience with platform engineering, developer experience, infrastructure automation, and cloud-native systems.
• Experience with AWS, EKS, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, and infrastructure-as-code workflows.
• Experience with observability, metrics, logging, distributed tracing, and operational reliability.
• Experience working with PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis, and Temporal.
• Experience in high-growth or early-stage startups and with AI/ML infrastructure.

• Experience establishing engineering standards and platform best practices across an organization.
