Senior DevOps Engineer (AI)

Location: San Francisco (On-site, 5 days per week)

Compensation: $200,000 – $400,000

What you will do

• Build and maintain the internal developer platform, creating self-service tooling and golden paths for the engineering team.
• Manage and scale cloud-hosted development environments to ensure fast, production-like setups.
• Develop and own internal AI-assisted engineering automation to extend team capabilities.
• Implement robust test data propagation systems to ensure safe, realistic data for development and QA.
• Partner with product teams to identify and remove friction across the entire development lifecycle.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building internal developer platforms or developer-experience tooling.
• Deep hands-on expertise with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitOps-based delivery (e.g., FluxCD, Helm).
• Proven experience provisioning and managing both local and cloud-hosted developer environments.
• Ability to build self-service systems that prioritize developer experience and efficiency.
• Must be based in San Francisco and able to work on-site 5 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with test data seeding, cloning, or anonymization.
• Experience integrating AI/LLM tooling into developer workflows.
• Container and machine-image build experience (Docker, Packer).
