Platform Engineer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, on-site

Salary: $200,000–$350,000 per year, plus equity and benefits

What you will do

• Own the internal platform, build tooling, and CI/CD workflows from development through production.
• Improve build speed, test reliability, deployment safety, release operations, and developer experience.
• Design verification environments for agents, integrations, workflows, and customer-like scenarios.
• Build AI-native tooling for development automation, customer bug triage, validation, release management, and operational feedback loops.
• Create reusable product primitives and architecture patterns for agent capabilities, integrations, and context-aware workflows.
• Partner with product and engineering teams to turn recurring friction into platform leverage and improve codebase quality.

Requirements

• 5+ years of full-time experience in backend, platform, product infrastructure, or developer tooling engineering.
• Strong engineering fundamentals and experience with modern TypeScript, Node, and React codebases.
• Experience building internal platforms, build systems, CI/CD workflows, developer tools, product infrastructure, or shared architecture.
• Active use of AI tools and strong judgment about applying AI to accelerate software development.
• Strong product judgment for developer experience and the ability to create reusable abstractions and durable platform primitives.
• Fast, detail-oriented execution with a strong focus on reliability and quality.
