is a fast-growing fusion energy company and the first spin-out from the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics, dedicated to delivering the world’s first commercial stellarator fusion power plant.
What you will do
- Lead the specification of tritium fuel cycle equipment, including exhaust gas processing, storage, and fueling for the Alpha stellarator.
- Develop and manage industry contracts and partnerships necessary for fuel cycle delivery.
- Establish tritium accountancy frameworks, including the quantification of permeation and retention.
- Technically lead modeling, testing, and prototyping to validate fuel cycle system designs.
- Provide expert input on tritium containment best practices for the Alpha safety case.
- Build and lead an innovative team while fostering strong external supplier collaborations.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of fusion fuel cycles, including tritium gas exhaust processing, separation, and containment.
- Proven success in procuring and commissioning tritium-related equipment.
- Experience developing and owning tritium accountancy frameworks.
- Ability to validate fuel cycle systems through simulations, testing, and prototyping.
- Strong leadership skills for managing multidisciplinary technical teams in dynamic settings.
- Must be able to work on-site in Munich or Oxford.
