Specialist, HR Operations (Automotive)

Location: Columbia, South Carolina, United States; 4–5 days per week in the office. Regular in-person meetings, events, and occasional business travel are required.

Salary: $90,000–$112,500 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Execute and continuously improve HR operational processes supporting a high-volume manufacturing workforce.
• Manage complex workforce transactions and employee data in the HRIS, including job changes, organizational moves, compensation changes, transfers, leaves, and separations.
• Lead operational onboarding for plant hires from pre-hire through employee integration.
• Administer time and attendance processes, resolve escalated issues, and partner with Payroll, Production, and HR leadership.
• Support employees, supervisors, and HR partners with HR processes, policies, benefits administration, and HR systems.
• Analyze workforce metrics, lead audits and compliance reviews, and standardize procedures to improve scalability and employee experience.

Requirements

• 4+ years of progressive experience in HR operations, HR shared services, HR administration, or a related field, including experience with manufacturing, logistics, or other high-volume workforces.
• Advanced experience with enterprise HRIS platforms, preferably SAP SuccessFactors and ADP, plus advanced Excel and reporting skills.
• Strong knowledge of workforce administration, wage and hour regulations, onboarding, compliance, and employee lifecycle management.
• Ability to independently manage complex and sensitive HR matters with sound judgment and discretion.
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated experience driving continuous improvement and serving as an HR Operations subject matter expert.
