Senior State Filings Analyst

Location: Waltham, MA (hybrid); the posting also lists Boston, MA.

US annual base salary: $90,000–$104,000 USD, plus potential annual performance-based incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Own the full lifecycle of product filings across all 51 jurisdictions.
• Develop filing strategies, manage regulatory deadlines, and resolve challenges with state regulators and external consultants.
• Research insurance regulations, statutes, and bulletins to support compliance.
• Develop, revise, and maintain policy forms, endorsements, manuals, rates, and rules for commercial Workers’ Compensation and P&C products.
• Partner with Legal and Insurance Product teams to refine policy language, address state objections, and resolve compliance escalations.
• Monitor ISO and NCCI bureau circulars, assess business impact, and maintain filing workflows and audit documentation in Confluence, JIRA, and internal databases.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in insurance, business, law, or a related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least 2 years of experience managing multi-state insurance product filings covering forms, rates, and rules.
• Strong knowledge of SERFF, Florida’s i-File system, and jurisdictional requirements.
• Deep understanding of commercial P&C policy forms and regulations.
• Ability to prioritize multiple filings, manage tight deadlines, solve problems analytically, and maintain strong attention to detail.
