Senior Premium Auditor (Property/Casualty Insurance)

Location: Remote in or near Massachusetts, United States; daily travel to insureds' offices within the assigned territory is required, with possible overnight travel.

What you will do

• Schedule and conduct physical and virtual audits of commercial property and casualty policies.
• Review business operations and financial records, evaluate subcontractor exposures, verify claims data, and determine premium bases and classifications.
• Manage territory and inventory, including automobile travel that represents approximately 70–80% of working time.
• Notify underwriting of changes in exposures, operations, classifications, locations, entities, and construction activity.
• Resolve audit disputes, prepare amended audits, and submit revisions for billing.
• Support premium audit projects, training, technical presentations, and mentoring of other auditors.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a physical Premium Auditor.
• Knowledge of insurance manuals, premium audit procedures, and property/casualty insurance.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work independently without direct supervision.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, internet research applications, and computer-based audit systems.
• Ability to climb stairs and consistently carry 20 pounds.
• Valid state-issued driver's license in good standing and ability to travel daily to insureds' offices are required.

Nice to have

• College degree in Insurance, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Associate in Premium Auditing 91 and 92 (APA 91/92) certification.
