What you will do

• Own scope, resources, and schedules for land use and development due diligence from initial site screening through detailed design handoff.
• Prepare site-screening, constraints, feasibility, and development-basis analyses using title, survey, environmental, and jurisdictional information.
• Manage surveys, geotechnical investigations, hydrology and drainage studies, and integrate findings into developable-area and constraints analyses.
• Lead environmental due diligence under NEPA and applicable state review acts, including wetlands, endangered species, and cultural resources reviews.
• Drive zoning, entitlements, permits, utility service coordination, consultant management, and agency and community outreach.
• Close development gaps and deliver the land use and development Basis of Design package to the detailed design team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Planning, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of land use due diligence, boundary and topographic surveys, geotechnical investigations, hydrology, drainage, and floodplain studies.
• Working knowledge of NEPA, state environmental review acts, wetlands, endangered species, and cultural resource permitting.
• Experience with zoning, conditional and special use permits, site plan and design review, variances, grading, and stormwater permits.
• Knowledge of grid-scale BESS site development requirements, including setbacks, fire and life-safety separation, access, and balance-of-plant siting.
• Experience managing permit matrices, entitlement schedules, budgets, utilities, consultants, public agencies, and stakeholder communications.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer license, AICP certification, or comparable professional credential.
• Project management or EPC experience.
• Passion for sustainability and energy transition projects.
