Sr. Project Engineer (Renewable Energy)

Location: Remote/traveling role with up to 50% travel to project sites

Salary: $100,561–$160,898 per year

What you will do

• Lead engineering activities from project award through design delivery, construction support, commissioning, and closeout.
• Develop and maintain Basis of Design documentation, engineering reviews, RFIs, and technical deliverables.
• Coordinate with Owners, Engineers of Record, Construction, Project Management, Integrated Supply Chain, and internal engineering teams.
• Review drawings, calculations, specifications, vendor submittals, and third-party engineering packages for quality, constructability, and compliance.
• Support procurement, manage technical changes and risks, and resolve field issues during construction.
• Mentor junior engineers and CAD Designers while improving engineering standards, workflows, and project execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited college.
• EIT or FE certification required, or the ability to obtain it within one year of hire.
• Four or more years of progressive engineering experience in utility-scale renewable energy, industrial, EPC, power generation, or heavy infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing multiple engineering priorities and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle driving record.
• Ability to travel up to 50% to project sites based on project and business needs.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting utility-scale renewable energy projects through engineering, construction support, and closeout.
• Strong understanding of engineering design, constructability, procurement, commissioning, and project execution.
• Experience working with Owners, Engineers of Record, EPC partners, Integrated Supply Chain, and Construction teams.
• Experience mentoring engineers and improving engineering processes and project delivery.
