Senior Robotics Software Engineer (Path Planning)

Salary: $190,000–$250,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Design and implement robot behaviors and task-level intelligence across a large-scale robot fleet.
• Develop and scale multi-agent path-planning algorithms and optimization strategies for fleet throughput and real-time task allocation.
• Build task orchestration and recovery behavior for nominal and edge-case scenarios.
• Use operational data and reliability metrics to improve autonomy quality, task success rate, robot uptime, and recovery behavior.
• Collaborate with AI, hardware, infrastructure, engineers, and technicians on robot-platform integration and technical architecture.
• Triage production robotics issues, lead design reviews, and mentor cross-functional engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of production-level coding experience in C++, Python, or Rust.
• Experience or knowledge of distributed systems, backend services, API design, CI/CD, AWS, and Kubernetes.
• Experience designing scalable systems and leading complex technical projects.
• Strong communication, cross-team collaboration, and analytical decision-making skills.
