Senior - Staff Infrastructure Engineer

Location: New York, NY, United States

Salary: $156,885–$200,000 annually for Senior Infrastructure Engineer I–II; $200,000–$220,000 annually for Staff Infrastructure Engineer. Compensation varies by candidate location, skills, experience, and internal team banding.

What you will do

• Build and operate Kubernetes clusters and related infrastructure tooling.
• Create and maintain internal tools and services for developers.
• Develop reusable, version-controlled infrastructure as code using Terraform and similar technologies.
• Architect platform components such as logging pipelines and application autoscaling capabilities.
• Maintain AWS infrastructure and troubleshoot production and systems issues across the technology stack.
• Collaborate with developers to improve workflows and participate in the on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 6–13+ years of infrastructure engineering experience at Senior or Staff level.
• Ability to architect solutions from limited constraints and drive implementation through release.
• Experience orchestrating infrastructure with Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
• Experience with modern container-based cloud environments such as Kubernetes or Lambda.
• Understanding of production readiness, instrumentation, and monitoring.
• Ability to work independently as a primary individual contributor and collaborate across teams.

Nice to have

• AWS experience, especially IAM and EC2.
• PostgreSQL/RDS administration knowledge.
• Linux and systems administration fundamentals, including networking.
• Experience with modern observability practices and AI tools for infrastructure engineering workflows.
