Senior Central Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (AWS)

Location: New York, New York, United States. Office-first model requiring employees to be on-site at least four days a week.

Salary: $170,000–$225,000 USD annually, plus potential healthcare benefits, 401(k), insurance, stock options, and bonus plans.

What you will do

• Architect, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure across multiple products.
• Lead infrastructure modernization using CI/CD, infrastructure as code, Kubernetes, and AI, while integrating legacy systems into cloud-native environments.
• Design disaster recovery strategies and production-grade solutions that protect system uptime.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure environments across Linux and Windows, resolving bottlenecks and supporting system deep-dives.
• Maintain compliance with PCI and SOC2 security frameworks, lead incident response and root-cause analysis, and promote blameless postmortems.
• Provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineers and improve the infrastructure team’s technical competency.

Requirements

• BS degree in Computer Science or a relevant technical discipline with 5+ years of experience, or equivalent professional experience with 8+ years in high-growth cloud environments.
• Production experience with AWS, Terraform, Atmos, and Python or equivalent automation languages such as Bash or Go.
• Hands-on expertise with observability, including APM, distributed tracing, logs, metrics, RUM, SLOs, SLIs, and monitors-as-code.
• Experience with service mesh and L7 proxies such as Envoy or Istio, Kubernetes ingress, Kubernetes/EKS, Helm, and container orchestration.
• Experience with secrets management and rotation in PCI/SOC2 environments, plus AWS MSK/Kafka and managed SQL and NoSQL databases including Amazon Aurora.
• Strong knowledge of cloud networking, security protocols, firewalls, Linux and Windows server administration, and technical documentation.
