TL;DR
Specialist, Logistics Training Coordinator (Automotive): Developing and managing training programs, SOPs, safety protocols, and operational standards for JIT and JIS logistics with an accent on workforce readiness, process visualization, and compliance. Focus on maintaining the Profi-Room, coordinating cross-training, supporting kaizen and root cause analysis, and improving logistics efficiency in an automotive manufacturing environment.

Location: Blythewood, South Carolina, United States; fully on-site with consistent in-office attendance and occasional company travel.

Base salary: $95,000–$120,000 annually, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

  • Design and deliver onboarding and ongoing training for logistics personnel, including material handlers, line feeders, and team leaders.
  • Maintain training materials, SOPs, visual aids, skills assessments, and training records for operational compliance and audit readiness.
  • Manage the Profi-Room, including 5S standards, visual management boards, KPIs, process maps, shift meetings, and performance reviews.
  • Identify training gaps and support cross-training, kaizen activities, continuous improvement workshops, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning.
  • Ensure logistics training meets ISO and OSHA requirements while promoting safety and quality.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience in automotive manufacturing logistics, including material handling, inventory management, or in-house assembly-line feeding.
  • Experience leading logistics teams in a fast-paced OEM environment.
  • Experience with inventory control, warehouse materials tracking, stock levels, and accurate record-keeping.
  • Experience improving logistics or warehousing processes using Lean or Six Sigma methods.
  • Proficiency with WMS, ERP systems such as SAP, and logistics software; familiarity with forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.

  • APICS, Six Sigma, Lean, or other supply chain management certifications.
