Purchasing Specialist (Automotive)

Location: El Segundo, California, United States; onsite

Salary: $80,000–$90,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and incentive plans.

What you will do

• Create, issue, and manage purchase orders in ERP systems such as SAP.
• Track orders, monitor supplier performance, and resolve delays, shortages, and discrepancies.
• Coordinate with suppliers on quotations, lead times, fulfillment, and contractual terms.
• Support RFQ/RFP processes, cost analysis, and supplier selection.
• Collaborate with engineering, finance, quality, and operations teams on procurement needs.
• Maintain procurement records, track cost and delivery metrics, support audits, and improve processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain roles, preferably in manufacturing or automotive.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP and strong proficiency in Excel.
• Strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience in automotive or high-tech manufacturing.
• Familiarity with BOM structures and direct or indirect sourcing.
• Understanding of RFQ processes, cost breakdowns, and supplier selection.
• Mandarin bilingual skills.
