Frontend Engineer (React/TypeScript)

Location: New York City, hybrid

Salary: $210,000–$280,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Improve frontend reliability through error boundaries, robust state management, data consistency, graceful degradation, and resilient core flows.
• Optimize performance for large datasets, including virtualization, bundle optimization, render performance, responsive filters, and non-blocking data visualizations.
• Build monitoring and observability systems that identify issues before users encounter them.
• Establish testing strategies that prevent regressions and improve release confidence.
• Create frontend abstractions and patterns that help engineers ship faster without sacrificing stability.
• Drive technical decisions, lead complex migrations, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience building frontend applications at scale.
• Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, and modern build tooling.
• Experience resolving production performance issues at scale.
• Strong frontend architecture judgment supported by hands-on experience shipping applications.
• Ability to work in a hybrid role in New York City.

Nice to have

• Experience with discovery, search, recommendation, CRM, ATS, or similar systems that index, structure, and surface data.
• Exposure to venture capital, private markets, or company intelligence data.
