What you will do

  • Support pre-flight, post-flight, turnaround, and ground operations for the Mk-II Aurora spaceplane, including propellant filling.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft and systems maintenance, inspections, servicing, recovery activities, and functional checks.
  • Follow approved procedures, checklists, work instructions, and safety controls during flight-test operations.
  • Identify defects and operational risks, support rectification and return-to-service preparation, and communicate with flight and ground crews.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, consumables, ground-support systems, logbooks, and configuration records.
  • Work with design engineers to improve maintenance procedures, manuals, training materials, turnaround efficiency, and operational reliability.

Requirements

  • Hands-on aircraft or space-system maintenance or assembly experience, ideally in flight test, R&D, UAV, experimental aviation, or a similarly complex technical environment.
  • Existing LAME qualification.
  • Prior experience with CAA Part 102 or equivalent uncrewed-aircraft maintenance standards.
  • Ability to work across software, avionics, structures, propulsion, and systems disciplines.
  • Strong safety focus, attention to detail, accurate documentation habits, and the ability to follow and improve procedures.
  • Adaptability and ownership in a fast-changing aerospace programme.

  • Strong interest in aerospace, flight testing, or novel technology.
