Specialist, JIS Material Planner (Automotive)

Location: Blythewood, South Carolina, United States; 4–5 days per week in the office with regular in-person meetings and occasional travel.

Salary: $95,000–$120,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Develop, design, and implement planning concepts and projects for JIS disposition.
• Support suppliers with JIS transportation, infrastructure, packaging, scheduling, and equipment processes.
• Coordinate JIT activities, including parts lists, disposition releases, advance information, and security circulation.
• Identify supply-chain risks, monitor bottlenecks and inventory, and coordinate cross-functional countermeasures.
• Resolve JIT process issues, monitor IT process accuracy and stability, and manage part inventory data and complaints.
• Optimize material flow, delivery programs, and production plans in cooperation with JIT suppliers.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience in automotive production and logistics, including inbound or outbound logistics, supplier management, container management, JIT, or JIS.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Experience with automotive logistics supplier management and JIS processes is desirable.
• Strong technical skills in networking, hardware, software systems, and process design.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects independently.
• High availability for travel and regular in-office attendance is required.
