Material / Inventory Analyst (Automotive)

Location: Troy, Michigan, United States. Travel up to 10% may be required. Applicants must be authorized to work permanently in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Annual base pay: $85,431–$128,146 USD.

What you will do

• Plan inventory for service parts and accessories to optimize stocking levels and availability.
• Place and track supplier purchase orders through the ERP system.
• Coordinate with suppliers to expedite or de-expedite orders based on demand and actual orders.
• Review and improve supplier lead times, minimum order quantities, rounding values, and related purchasing data.
• Develop parts-level inventory strategies and procedures to improve inventory control.
• Manage day-to-day supplier relationships and collaborate with SI&OP, purchasing, warehouse, and 3PL teams.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or business management, preferably in material management.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, material management, operations, or a related field is preferred; equivalent professional experience is accepted.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, project management tools, Microsoft Excel, and data analysis tools.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams, suppliers, warehouses, and external partners.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds and stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
