Avionics Technician - Spaceplane (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Build, install, inspect, label, test, and troubleshoot flight-ready electrical harnesses.
• Integrate flight computers, sensors, radios, antennas, and supporting avionics into aircraft.
• Configure and verify aircraft electrical systems and support system-level integration testing.
• Improve production documentation, work instructions, tooling, standards, and workflows as the Mk-II Aurora moves from development into production.
• Manage avionics and harness supply chains, including bills of materials, procurement, inventory, suppliers, kits, and production stock.
• Maintain schematics, BOMs, SOPs, design data, safety standards, and quality documentation while collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, mechanical, and flight-test teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of aircraft, aerospace, or automotive electrical integration experience.
• Experience assembling cables and harnesses to standards such as NASA-STD-8739.4, IPC/WHMA-A-620, RA-5401, or AC 25-26.
• Proficiency with precision termination tooling for electrical crimping and terminal installation.
• Experience producing safety-critical, high-reliability products and installing or troubleshooting electrical or avionics systems.
• Ability to read and produce electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings, with practical knowledge of electrical systems and electronics.
• Clear written and spoken English required. Experience with electrical test equipment and managing components, inventory, suppliers, or production materials.

Nice to have

• Aircraft avionics integration, RF installation, and coaxial harnessing experience.
• Experience with Rapidharness, SolidWorks Electrical, or SolidWorks.
• High-reliability soldering, PCB assembly or rework, and manufacturing documentation.
• Familiarity with configuration control and production quality systems.
