Senior Systems Operations Developer

Salary: $85,000–$90,000 per year, plus benefits

What you will do

• Manage and support production messaging and email infrastructure.
• Administer Linux systems and troubleshoot services, incidents, and delivery issues.
• Configure and maintain Proofpoint, Cloudmark, SMTP relays, gateways, connectors, and mail-flow routes.
• Monitor system health, availability, capacity, performance, and message-processing workflows.
• Develop scripts, automation, runbooks, support documentation, and operational procedures.
• Support upgrades, patches, migrations, deployments, security requirements, and on-call production support.

Requirements

• Several years of experience in systems operations, production support, messaging operations, or systems development.
• Strong hands-on Linux and command-line administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of SMTP, DNS and MX records, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, TLS, certificates, SMTP authentication, mail queues, delivery codes, and anti-spam controls.
• Experience with SMTP routing, relays, gateways, connectors, and mail-flow troubleshooting.
• Experience with Proofpoint, Cloudmark, or comparable messaging-security platforms.
• Experience with production incident, change, and problem-management processes.

Nice to have

• Scripting with Shell, Python, or Bash.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience in a 24x7 support environment.
