SLAM Engineer (Robotics)

hirify.global is developing personal home robots designed to perform repetitive tasks through generalized robotics, embodied AI, and consumer hardware.

What you will do

• Build robust indoor SLAM systems that fuse LiDAR, camera, IMU, and odometry data.
• Develop software pipelines and processes for multi-sensor calibration.
• Enable safe, smooth, and natural robot motion in complex and dynamic home environments.
• Collaborate with perception and motion planning engineers on indoor navigation and collision avoidance.
• Contribute to robotics technology and product development as part of a small, cross-functional team.

Requirements

• Experience with vision-only or LiDAR-based SLAM pipelines.
• Deep understanding of spatial mathematics, including 3D rotation representations, frame transformations, and camera projections.
• Familiarity with multi-sensor time-synchronization methods.
• Experience writing production-quality software in Python or C++.

Nice to have

• Experience building production-grade SLAM systems in autonomous driving, AR/VR, or robotics.
• Familiarity with GTSAM.
• Experience with motion-capture systems.
