Robotics Software Engineer (AI)

Location: On-site in Austin, TX; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; or Seattle, WA

Salary: $224,000 – $279,000

What you will do

• Build software for data center robotics, including task planning, fleet coordination, and system integration.
• Ship autonomy glue, including perception outputs, navigation stacks, and task logic.
• Own operational tooling such as monitoring, teleoperation fallback, and diagnostics for remote sites.
• Integrate robotics data into the platform to ensure missions and outcomes are queryable.
• Debug hardware-software boundaries in production environments.

Requirements

• Proven experience shipping software for robots or autonomous systems in production.
• Proficiency with ROS or equivalent middleware on real hardware.
• Experience engineering for remote failure, including recovery, fallback, and observability.
• Ability to integrate robot systems with enterprise or facility software.
• Must be able to work on-site in Austin, New York, San Francisco, or Seattle.

Nice to have

• Experience with Navigation and SLAM.
• Experience with fleet orchestration.
• Proficiency in C++, Python, or Go.
• Experience with simulation tools like Gazebo or Isaac.
