Fullstack Engineer

Location: New York City, hybrid

Salary: $180K–$220K annually, plus equity

What you will do

• Own customer-facing features and experiences end to end across Discovery, Flow, or Ecosystem.
• Build scalable, performant, and observable systems across data pipelines, backend services, and full-stack product experiences.
• Transform fragmented sources such as APIs, raw HTML, and legal filings into structured knowledge about startups, investors, and people.
• Develop products for natural-language startup research, deal management, collaboration, and investor workflows.
• Ship releases quickly, measure product outcomes, and iterate based on customer feedback and observed results.
• Collaborate with Design, Product, and GTM using a customer-first approach.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience building full-stack products at scale, with an approximately 70/30 backend focus.
• Strong computer science fundamentals and experience building highly performant products.
• Experience building and scaling data pipelines for products that rely on large datasets.
• Ability to design scalable, performant, and observable systems from first principles while balancing technical, product, and organizational trade-offs.
• Demonstrated record of shipping high-quality products and major releases.
• Customer-focused, methodical approach to experimentation, measurement, and continuous improvement.

Nice to have

• Experience as a founding engineer or joining a product at an early stage and helping it scale.
• Interest in venture capital and the startup ecosystem.

Hiring process

• 30-minute recruiter screening.
• Technical screenings covering debugging and system design, followed by a two-hour coding interview.
• 30-minute behavioral interview with the Head of Engineering, a conversation with the CEO, and reference checks.
