Full-Stack Engineer (AI)

Location: Fully remote within the United States; hybrid options in New York City, Washington, DC, or Maine. US citizenship required due to US government contract obligations and ITAR/EAR export controls.

Salary: $160,000–$250,000 base salary per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Build polished and reliable user-facing features in a Next.js/React application.
• Optimize search and review agents for accuracy and consistency.
• Design backend APIs, data models, and workflow execution paths for responsive frontend experiences.
• Develop document-processing pipelines and agentic workflow execution systems.
• Help shape system architecture, product direction, company strategy, and engineering culture.
• Work directly with users and collaborate with a small technical team on complex product challenges.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python and TypeScript/React.
• Experience with LLMs and AI engineering techniques.
• Experience with system design and building maintainable, performant software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, product sense, initiative, and ownership.
• US citizenship and eligibility to work on projects subject to ITAR/EAR regulations are required.

Nice to have

• Experience in defense, intelligence, national security, or other regulated operational domains.
• Experience interacting directly with end-users.
• Familiarity with document-processing pipelines.
• Early-stage startup experience.
• Active or current security clearance.
