VP, Commercial Controlling (Automotive)

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, United States. The role requires 4–5 days of in-office attendance at the hirify.global corporate headquarters, regular in-person meetings and events, and occasional travel.

Salary: $245,000–$297,500 base salary annually

hirify.global is developing electrified, digitally enabled pickup trucks and rugged SUVs, including all-electric and range-extender powertrains.

What you will do

• Set the strategic direction, operating model, financial frameworks, and controls for commercial and brand controlling.
• Lead financial management across vehicle sales, aftersales, retail, and brand operations, including planning, reporting, cost integrity, and variance analysis.
• Own FP&A, budgeting, rolling forecasts, long-range planning, scenario modeling, consolidated P&L reporting, and risk identification.
• Serve as the senior finance partner to commercial and brand leadership and provide approval governance for pricing, incentives, marketing spend, and commercial investments.
• Partner with enterprise planning, accounting, and digital finance to align company-level financial requirements and build scalable reporting systems.
• Design and scale the commercial finance organization, make leadership hiring decisions, and develop a high-performing team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in business controlling, FP&A, or commercial finance leadership.
• Experience leading and scaling a full commercial finance function, including organizational design and hiring from analyst through director level.
• Experience influencing C-level stakeholders and shaping high-level business decisions.
• Expertise in cost controlling, financial planning, governance, reporting, and complex multi-business-line operations.
• Strong working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA financial architecture and management reporting structures.
