Senior Manager, Commercial Finance and Transformation (AI)

Location: Hybrid-based role at the corporate headquarters in Downers Grove, Illinois, US

Salary: $150,000–$185,000 annually, plus eligibility for incentive pay

What you will do

• Lead commercial finance and transformation initiatives focused on revenue growth, pricing optimization, margin expansion, and measurable EBITDA and cash impact.
• Analyze commercial, operational, and financial data, develop performance hypotheses, and quantify opportunities across proof-of-concept, pilot, and scale stages.
• Identify and deliver AI, automation, and analytics use cases through UnivarONE and the FRONTIER Factory, supporting adoption in pricing, margin management, and commercial workflows.
• Build business cases, validate ROI with Finance and FP&A, and track committed versus realized value in OneStream, the AOP, and the Strategic Plan.
• Lead growth strategy, customer segmentation, value proposition, channel strategy, pricing governance, commercial operating-model design, and cross-selling initiatives.
• Manage complex cross-functional projects, stage-gate reviews, risks, dependencies, stakeholder alignment, and executive-level value reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; an MBA or advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field is preferred.
• At least 7 years of experience in Commercial Finance, Sales Finance, Strategic Finance, Consulting, or a similar field.
• Experience leading multiple large projects valued at $1M or more across Commercial, Operations, and Finance.
• Strong analytical, financial modeling, data storytelling, communication, planning, organizing, and change management skills.
• Experience with financial systems and tools; SAP and OneStream experience preferred, with Tableau and Microsoft Office required.
• Ability to work with AI, automation, analytics, technology, and data teams while influencing strategy without formal operational authority.

Nice to have

• Experience with pricing tools, Next Best Action, margin management, or agentic workflows.
• Experience supporting M&A strategy, commercial due diligence, synergy identification, or post-merger integration.
• Experience in a private-equity-backed or value-creation-plan environment.
