Senior Finance Director (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Buffalo, NY / East Aurora, New York; ability to relocate to East Aurora and be present onsite required.

Salary: $230,000–$285,000 annually.

What you will do

• Partner with the Commercial Aircraft Group business to develop and execute division strategy through financial modeling and strategic decision support.
• Report financial results to the CAG Executive Team and lead end-to-end financial accountability for group, divisional, and site balance sheets, P&L, and cash flow.
• Lead sales, gross margin, operating margin, free cash flow, capital investment, budget, forecast, expense management, and ROI planning.
• Oversee technical accounting conclusions, balance sheet reconciliations, internal controls, and internal and external audit support.
• Participate in major proposals covering cost analysis, pricing, and negotiations, while improving product cost, inventory, net working capital, and free cash flow governance.
• Manage, recruit, coach, and develop direct reports while driving continuous improvement and value for internal and external customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or CPA is preferred.
• More than 15 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, or FP&A. Aerospace and defense experience is preferred but not required.
• More than 10 years of experience leading, coaching, and managing high-performing finance teams.
• Experience with ASC 606 long-term accounting and complex financial transactions and contracts.
• Experience influencing others and leading and developing direct reports.
• Ability to advise and influence cross-functional business stakeholders, including site and division leadership.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and proactively address them with Commercial Aircraft Group leadership.
• Comfort with ambiguity, process development, and communicating effectively with all organizational levels and external constituencies.
• Ability to achieve results through people management, clear expectations, accountability, and timely coaching.

Nice to have

• Manufacturing and/or aerospace industry experience.
• Big Four accounting experience.
• SAP experience or knowledge of ERP business systems.
• OneStream experience with consolidation and forecasting.
