Finance Director - Aftermarket (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Buffalo, NY, with the role located in East Aurora, New York; relocation to East Aurora and on-site presence are required.

Salary: $170,000–$200,000 annually

What you will do

• Partner with business leaders and finance teams on financial performance, forecasting, long-range planning, and strategic decision-making.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial control processes while ensuring accurate financial results.
• Develop financial processes, reporting, and performance metrics covering sales, operating margin, working capital, and overall business performance.
• Provide financial guidance on investments, pricing, costing, customer negotiations, commercial models, and capital allocation.
• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities and deliver data-driven recommendations to leadership.
• Manage, coach, and develop direct reports while driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• More than 10 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, operations management, or supply chain.
• At least 5 years of experience managing, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
• Strategic thinking, effective communication, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Ability to relocate to East Aurora, New York and work onsite.

Nice to have

• Manufacturing or aerospace industry experience.
• SAP or ERP business systems experience.
• Experience with Integrated Business Planning, Product Cost Analysis, Purchase Price Variance, long-term accounting, or government finance.
• MBA or CPA.
