Subcontract Manager (Aerospace)

Location: Fully onsite in Centennial, Colorado or Long Beach, California, United States

Base salary: $85,000–$165,000 per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop and execute subcontracting strategies aligned with program and production goals.
• Negotiate and manage subcontracts, statements of work, nondisclosure agreements, change orders, pricing, schedules, and acceptance criteria.
• Create performance-oriented contract structures and maintain standard subcontract templates.
• Manage subcontractor performance across cost, schedule, quality, and execution using KPIs, reporting cadences, and escalation paths.
• Integrate subcontract activities with internal program schedules, milestones, budgets, and production readiness plans.
• Track budgets, commitments, financial performance, payments, documentation, and audit readiness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of subcontract or supply chain management experience, preferably in aerospace, defense, or technology manufacturing.
• Experience negotiating and managing complex subcontract agreements in a program-driven environment.
• Strong knowledge of statement-of-work development, pricing structures, risk allocation, and supplier performance management.
• Familiarity with ITAR, DFARS, FAR, export control, security, and customer regulatory requirements.
• Must work fully onsite in Centennial, Colorado or Long Beach, California, and meet U.S. Government export-control eligibility requirements.
