People Operations & Compensation Lead (AI)

Location: Palo Alto, California, United States. Hybrid role with onsite work 3 days per week.

Base salary: $147,500–$181,500 per year, plus an annual discretionary bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead the People Operations team and establish a culture of service and operational excellence.
• Drive AI-native, technology-enabled People operations with a strong employee experience.
• Oversee onboarding, offboarding, employee changes, escalations, benefits decisions, and complex compensation situations.
• Manage the PEO relationship, benefits program, compliance, and benefits strategy.
• Lead compensation cycles, benchmarking, and maintenance of the compensation structure using AI-driven workflows.
• Partner with hiring managers and recruiting on offers and AI-enabled compensation tools.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in People Operations or relevant experience.
• Experience supporting benefits and compensation programs.
• Proven experience implementing AI and automation.
• Strong operational background and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience managing and developing teams.
• Broad experience with technology and workplace tools.
