Head of People (AI Legal Tech)

Location: New York, United States

Salary: $180,000–$225,000 per year, plus equity.

hirify.global provides an AI-powered end-to-end platform for patent lifecycle management, including infringement and invalidity analysis, patent drafting, office action analysis, and IP portfolio strategy.

What you will do

• Own People Operations infrastructure, including Rippling administration, data integrity, job architecture, workflow automation, and leadership reporting.
• Run compensation frameworks covering leveling, job-family bands, equity guidelines, offer construction, and annual review cycles.
• Operate performance management programs, including reviews, calibration, promotions, and manager enablement.
• Manage employment compliance across US states and international jurisdictions, including work authorization, leave, training, policies, and SOC 2 evidence.
• Own recruiting operations through Ashby, improve interview quality and reporting, and execute priority searches.
• Partner with the CEO and executives on employee relations, workforce planning, organizational design, and global employment operations.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in People Operations, HR, or Talent, including ownership of the function at a high-growth technology company.
• Hands-on HRIS and ATS administration experience; Rippling and Ashby experience is a strong plus.
• Experience with compensation cycles, leveling, job architecture, and equity structures in a venture-backed environment.
• Strong knowledge of US employment compliance across multiple states and, ideally, international entities.
• Sound judgment in sensitive employee-relations matters and credibility recruiting for technical and go-to-market roles.

Nice to have

• SOC 2 or similar audit experience.
• Background in AI, legal tech, or another specialized talent domain.
