Windows Systems Engineer (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Design and develop production-quality Windows kernel drivers using WDM and WDF.
• Build kernel instrumentation and telemetry pipelines for endpoint visibility and behavioral detection.
• Track process, thread, and image lifecycles using Windows kernel callbacks.
• Design lock-efficient kernel data structures, synchronization strategies, and reliable user/kernel communication mechanisms.
• Work with Windows NT internals, including memory management, the Object Manager, Executive subsystems, ETW, ALPC, handle tables, tokens, and registry internals.
• Debug kernel crashes, memory corruption, race conditions, boot-time issues, and compatibility problems across Windows releases.

Requirements

• Extensive experience building low-level Windows systems software and kernel drivers.
• Deep expertise in Windows kernel architecture and NT internals.
• Strong knowledge of process, thread, memory, and object management.
• Expert-level C/C++ programming skills and experience debugging complex multithreaded systems.
• Strong understanding of synchronization, paging, interrupts, and x64 architecture.
• Experience with WinDbg and kernel debugging tools, including analysis of undocumented operating system behavior.

Nice to have

• Rust experience, filesystem minifilters, Windows Filtering Platform, or NDIS.
• ETW provider development experience.
• Hypervisor technologies such as VT-x or AMD-V.
• Knowledge of Secure Kernel, VBS, or HVCI.
• Memory forensics, reverse engineering, symbol parsing, or Windows build analysis experience.
