Software Engineer - Linux Sensor (Cybersecurity)

Location: USA - Sunnyvale, CA; hybrid schedule with 2–3 days per week on-site

Salary: $100,000–$145,000 per year, plus bonus and equity eligibility

What you will do

• Design and develop Linux software for server deployment.
• Own core sensor features from design through delivery.
• Build functionality across file system, memory, process, and networking subsystems.
• Develop high-throughput endpoint monitoring, threat detection, prevention, and telemetry capabilities.
• Collaborate with multifunctional teams across physical locations and ship frequent releases using Agile practices.
• Respond to and troubleshoot customer-reported product issues.

Requirements

• Strong C/C++ development ability demonstrated through professional, academic, or community projects.
• Product development experience on Linux or Unix.
• Experience with highly concurrent, multithreaded systems.
• Experience building reliable, efficient software with precise memory usage and operating-characteristic requirements.
• Experience working on a team to ship major features and releases.
• Effective communication and collaboration in a distributed team, plus proven use of AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, and business outcomes.
